Last Saturday (18), the boxing fight between Hugo Centeno Jr and Maciej Sulecki featured a great demonstration of resistance to blows in the ring. However, the person who showed such quality was not either of the two boxers, but the referee of the fight, Mark Nelson.
During the seventh round of the duel, held in Chicago (USA), the referee tried to intervene and separate the fighters when the action seemed to be stuck in the clinch. Centeno, who had his head down, didn't notice Nelson's presence and threw a right cross that ended up hitting the referee square in the chin.
Despite the impact, Nelson held on tight and didn't even shake. He continued normally as a mediator in the fight, which saw Sulecki win by technical knockout in the tenth and final round.
