Rival gets injured and Thales Leites faces Camozzi in August

According to the 'Combate' website, Brad Tavares, the Brazilian's original opponent, injured his rib and will not be able to fight

Scheduled to fight at UFC Fight Night Utah, on August 6th, Thales leites he has a new opponent in front of him. Originally cast to face Brad Tavares, the former middleweight title challenger will now face Chris Camozzi, according to the “Combate” channel website.

Tavares suffered a rib injury and was forced to withdraw from the fight. Thus, Ultimate chose Camozzi, putting yet another Brazilian on his path in the category. Since returning to the UFC last year, the American has had four fights, including a loss to Ronaldo Jacare and victory over Vitor miranda.

Thales leites competed for the belt against Anderson Silva in 2009, but was defeated. He was fired from the UFC, but returned in 2013 and won five consecutive victories. However, he is going through a difficult time: he comes from defeats against Michael Bisping, current champion of the category, and Gegard Mousasi.
