José Aldo downplayed the recent pokes made by Frankie Edgar, his rival at UFC 200, and assured that he will be very well prepared for the duel that will take place on July 9th, in Las Vegas (USA).

It all started when Aldo declared that he had beaten Edgar in the first fight between the two, in 2013, “with just one arm”, as he was injured. The American, on the other hand, was ironic about the statement, recalling the Brazilian's history of leaving fights due to injury.

In a press conference reproduced on the “Combate” channel website, Aldo made light of Edgar’s criticism. “Firstly, you have to know whether or not you are [injured] to speak. I don't care about him, what he says or doesn't say, I know what we're doing and training hard here. God willing, we're going to do very well in the fight, wholeheartedly. I'm really excited to win this fight, to show it, because I think there was no fight in the last fight. It doesn't matter, he can fuck himself. I don’t care about him”, he commented.

Aldo and Edgar face each other on the main card of UFC 200, in a fight that will put the interim featherweight belt at stake, as the current weight champion, Conor McGregor, will take Nate diaz at UFC 202, at catchweight.
