Norwegian Emil Meek achieved the most important victory of his career last month when he beat Rousimar Toquinho in the main event of Venator FC 3, in Italy. And the fighter reaped even greater rewards with the victory: he became a UFC athlete and will make his debut in September.
Meeke will be on the UFC Hamburg card, in Germany, on September 3rd. His opponent will be Jessin Ayari, who will also make his debut in the main MMA organization on the planet.
The 27-year-old Norwegian has a record of eight wins, two losses, one draw and one no-contest in professional MMA. Against Toquinho, Meeke won with a quick technical knockout, knocking the Brazilian down with punches and elbows in less than a minute of the fight.
UFC Hamburg's main attraction will be between former heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett.
