CM Punk will make his debut at UFC 202, website guarantees

According to a reporter from 'FloSports', the telecatch star will face Mickey Gall on August 20th, the same day as McGregor x Diaz 2

Telecatch star undergoes surgery and postpones UFC debut

After confirming the return of Brock Lesnar to the UFC, another star of telecatch is close to having a fight confirmed in the octagon. CM Punk, a former member of WWE, is close to closing a deal to make his debut for the organization in August, at UFC 202.

The information was given by journalist Jeremy Botter, from the “FloSports” website. Punk's opponent will be Mickey gall, who had already been confirmed as his first opponent after defeating Mike Jackson at UFC 196 in February.

Despite never having had a professional MMA fight, Punk was confirmed as a new UFC athlete in December 2014. The American gained time to prepare for his debut, but his first fight ended up being postponed after an injury.

UFC 202 will take place on August 20th and will feature a rematch between Conor McGregor e Nate diaz. The event will be held at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).
