In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about a boxing superfight between UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, and undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather. Despite the public's interest that the duel could marry, the fight itself wouldn't even be funny, as the Irishman doesn't have the necessary level to face “Money”.

The guarantor is professional boxer Chris van Heerden, who recently sparred with McGregor at a gym in the United States. The South African revealed that he was positively surprised by the skill presented by the Irishman, but recalled that, with Mayweather, one of the best boxers of his generation, the level is different.
“Can Conor box? Yes. He can do it. I was shocked at how well he handled himself in the ring. You could immediately see that Conor has a boxing background and that he knows how to use his hands. Yes, Conor can fight. But Mayweather could end the fight any way he wanted”, analyzed the boxer, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.
Van Heerden detailed the main flaws presented by McGregor, which are points that may go unnoticed by laypeople. “In some important things, like leg movement, foot balance, crossing steps, how he positions his feet, his defense… Little things that boxers pay attention to and that Conor doesn't have. It was easy to capitalize on some mistakes like that,” he commented.
