Leben: “Losing to Anderson made me evolve”

Chris Leben faces Brian stann at UFC-125, an event that takes place on January 2nd, in Las Vegas, and seeks to position himself as one of the possible challengers for the middleweight belt. The North American, who is on a three-fight win streak, acknowledged the knockout he suffered against Anderson Silva, in 2006, was fundamental in changing the game and evolving within the octagon.

“I started to change my style after the defeat to Anderson Silva. In that fight it was obvious that I was not going to attack with all my weapons and hope to beat the elite fighters”, said the participant in the first edition of The Ultimate Fighter.

“I needed to review my strategy and adapt my game better. My coach Burt Richardson helped me a lot. I lost some fights after him, but I'm getting results now. I feel like a more technical and intelligent fighter than before”, concluded Leben.
