In his specialty, Cody connected the combination of punches in the first minute and left the Brazilian's face quite red. Almeida tried to respond with a counterattack, but the attacks stopped in his rival's guard.

Barão loses to Stephens and is not surprised by a bad phase

The premiere of Renan Barao in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg.) he went with his left foot. Former champion of the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg.) fought a tough fight against Jeremy Stephens, but ended up defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. The setback extended the Potiguar's negative series to just one victory in the last four fights.

Despite the defeat, Barão started the fight well. He avoided the open exchange of blows, maintaining medium distance or the duel in the clinch. In turn, Stephens tried to find the best distance to connect with his powerful right blow.

From the second round onwards, Stephens managed to put his strategy into action. He managed to avoid the Brazilian's clinch and keep the fight within reach.

The American had his best moment when he connected with a left cross and rocked Renan. From there he launched a sequence with an uppercut and cross, which made the Brazilian bend his knee. Barão still took the fight to the clinch and pressed Jeremy against the bars, but he quickly reversed the position.

In the final seconds, the Nova União athlete still managed to take Stephens down, but with no time to work on the ground, the fall did little good.

With the duel tied, the third round would be responsible for defining the winner. And the partial was the most balanced of the dispute.

Renan avoided the American's right hand and tried to keep the fight between the clinch or medium distance. However, two left bombs made the Brazilian wobble. Barão felt the pressure and looked for the takedown. However, he was unable to keep Stephens on the ground, who quickly got up.

In the final seconds, the Brazilian attempted the takedown again, but out of time he received three more hand blows.

The gong sounded and the two athletes held hands. However, in the official decision Jeremy Stephens He won with a triple 29×28 in the judges’ decision.

Vitor Miranda loses and sees his winning streak broken

First Brazilian to enter the octagon on the main card, Vitor miranda was surprised by Chris Camozzi and saw his streak of three consecutive victories in the octagon ended.

The North American avoided the exchange of blows with Vitor's greater reach and fought a tactical fight, avoiding the Brazilian's best game, using takedowns well in important moments to open the front.

Camozzi started the fight by taking initiative and throwing hand strikes, but without exposing himself to the Santa Catarina native's boxing. After scoring well on a shot from Camozzi, Vitor applied the takedown, tried to take the back, but made a mistake and left his leg as a gift to his opponent.

From the second round onwards, the North American took control of the fight. He blocked a shot from Vitor and took the contest to the ground. From then on, Camozzi landed several punches to the face and opened a deep cut on Miranda's face.

In the third round, already quite worn out by the punishment he suffered, Vitor tried to open the game on the feet. But Camozzi took advantage of the Brazilian's wrong movement, caught his back and took him down. On the ground, Camozzi landed some blows, but Vitor got up in the final half.

Miranda tried for the knockout with high kicks, but, already tired, the blows were blunt and easily blocked by the North American. At the end of the dispute, the three judges scored 30×27 for Chris Camozzi.
