Costa Rica is a country that is starting to invest in MMA. However, the amateurism in its events is still notorious. Last Sunday (19) Xtreme Vale Todo V was held in the city of Cartago, which had a total of ten fights on its card. The Brazilian Hermes France took action in the main fight of the night to compete for the organization's lightweight belt against the Frenchman Ferrid Kheder.

After three rounds of dominance by the Brazilian, the fight went to the judges' decision. Surprisingly, Kheder was declared the winner of the fight and holder of the category belt. But the promoter of Xtreme Vale Todo, Jean-François Billon, did not agree with the decision and later changed the result of the fight to No Contest.

Billon expressed his interest in holding a new confrontation between the fighters. According to the promoter, both França and Kheder are excellent fighters and deserve a new opportunity to face each other.

“I really liked the performance of both athletes. I believe there was a mistake on the part of the judges when declaring the winner. I propose a rematch to show that we have no preference for any fighter”, said Billon.

France is not thinking about fighting again in Costa Rica. According to the Brazilian athlete, Xtreme Vale Todo needs to take action due to the intervention of people not linked to the sport in the results of the fights.

“I have nothing against the country, but I will no longer fight in this organization. Maybe I'll fight (Ferrid) Kheder again, but in another event that takes the professionals involved seriously”, stressed the Brazilian.
