On the rise in the UFC, Nate diaz showed that his current good phase goes beyond the limits of the Octagon. The American fighter received an honor from the California Legislature at the beginning of the week for his achievements in the sport and for his work in the local community.
Deputy Jim Cooper presented the fighter with a plaque and highlighted his career in martial arts. “Using his talents and leadership to give back to the local community, Nate teaches self-defense techniques to children, teens and adults. He passes on values such as respect, sportsmanship and responsibility through martial arts”, he highlighted.
At 31 years old, Diaz is coming off an important victory over Conor McGregor in the main fight of UFC 196, in March. In an interview with the “MMA Fighting” website, the fighter revealed that the rematch between the two is negotiated to take place in August.
