At the beginning of last month, Anderson Silva expressed his lack of optimism regarding the renewal of Brazilian fighters for the future of MMA, highlighting that, in his view, only José Aldo e Ronaldo Jacare are capable of winning UFC titles in the short term. This did not please one of the country's biggest promises today, Thomas almeida.

An athlete on the rise in the bantamweight category, the 24-year-old from São Paulo believes that “Spider” should have made comments of greater encouragement to the new generations. “It makes me sad to see comments like that. Anderson represented our country very well in the UFC. As a great icon, he should set a good example. He should encourage other fighters to work hard to reach the top. We are going to win other belts and keep the ones we already have”, said Thominhas, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.
