Older MMA fans – and even those who fell in love with the sport later, but researched its history – will certainly remember the giant Bob Sapp, the mountain of muscles who had one of the most memorable fights of the now extinct PRIDE against the Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro. Well, at 42 years old, and with a record full of defeats, Sapp is back in the ring.
Retired from MMA, and dedicating himself to side activities such as announcing fights in the best Bruce Buffer style and working as public relations, Bob Sapp decided to return to fighting and will face the Chinese Aorigele in the main fight of ROAD FC 32, scheduled for July 2nd , in the city of Hunan, China.
Despite the pomp and importance given to the fight between Sapp and Aorigele, the athletes' records, not even combined, are impressive. Sapp has a professional MMA record of 11 wins and 18 losses. The American hasn't won a fight since 2010 and has had 12 consecutive setbacks. His rival Aorigele has only three fights as a professional, but only one victory and two defeats.
