In his program on the North American channel ESPN, former basketball player and current sports analyst Jalen Rose assured that the confrontation will really get off the ground and will take place in the first half of next year. “I have big news. The fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor it will really happen. Floyd and McGregor will possibly announce this next month. The fight will take place in May, the same weekend as the Kentucky Derby (one of the main racing competitions in the USA, always held in the first week of May), in 2017”, said Rose.
In recent days, journalist Collin Cowherd, from the North American channel “FOX Sports”, had also guaranteed that the duel between McGregor and Mayweather would take place, but said that the fight would take place on September 16, in Las Vegas (USA) . Cowherd even said he had already purchased his ticket to Vegas and reserved a hotel room for fight weekend.
