After debuting in the UFC, Tanquinho undergoes knee surgery and only returns in 2017

After suffering his first defeat as a professional, precisely in the fight that marked his Ultimate debut, bantamweight and jiu-jitsu specialist Augusto Tanquinho is expected to spend a long time away from the Octagon. Tanquinho had surgery on his knee and should only be able to return next year.

The information was released by the North American website “MMA Fighting”. According to the publication, Tanquinho underwent surgery due to injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee. The estimated recovery time is six months, which makes his return to the Octagon before 2017 completely unfeasible.
