After three months of journey and despite being chosen by the technical jury as the best performance of the finals of the program “Dancing with the Stars” (the original version of “Dança dos Famosos” in the United States), the UFC fighter paige vanzant ended up taking second place in the 22nd season of the attraction.

VanZant and her choreographer Mark Ballas had an accumulated score of 407 points throughout the season, four more than “America's Next Top Model” winning model Nyle DiMarco and dancer Peta Murgatroyd, who took the DWTS title. In this way, the public vote in the grand final played a key role in the blonde's defeat.

The season's champion, Nyle DiMarco gained notoriety for overcoming the fact that he was completely deaf and, even so, performing some of the most memorable dance routines in the TV show's long history.

After the experience that gained him enormous popularity in the United States, VanZant assured that he is now counting the minutes until he returns to the Octagon. "I feel very happy. I won, on my terms, because I was able to go out there and use my platform for something incredibly positive. And, at the same time, I’m more than ready to return to the Octagon,” she said to the “MMA Junkie” website.
