the return of Rousimar Toquinho The MMA competitions did not go the way the Brazilian expected. Suspended from performing in the USA until 2017 – for holding back a submission in his WSOF belt defense against Jake Shields – the Minas Gerais native went to Italy and ended up surprised by the Norwegian Emil Weber Meek, being knocked out in just 46 seconds of competition (watch the video below). The fight was the main attraction of Venator FC 3, held this Saturday (21), in Milan.

The fight
As soon as the fight started, Toquinho left for his specialty. He attacked the Norwegian's legs in search of the takedown. But Meek defended himself very well, throwing his hips back and finishing off the Brazilian's head with punches. The European fighter quickly turned around, reached Rousimar's back and began the punishment with several punches until the referee declared a technical knockout.
More Brazil
The third edition of Venator FC 3 will not bring good memories for Brazilians. In addition to Toquinho, the other athlete from the country who climbed into the cage left the fighting area defeated. Former UFC Igor Araújo faced the Italian Marvin vettori and was also defeated in the first round, just 1m13s into the fight. Vettori landed a guillotine and ended the fight.
