The Ultimate organization surprised everyone on Wednesday night (19) by revealing the name of the next challenger for the flyweight belt. The next rival of Demetrious Johnson, in the co-main fight of UFC 201, in July, will be the Brazilian Wilson reis – currently only eighth in the official ranking of the category up to 57 kg.

At 31, Wilson reis has a professional record of 20 wins and six losses in MMA. Reis debuted in Ultimate as a bantamweight, but later announced his move to flyweight. In his last fight, the Brazilian beat Dustin Ortiz last January. Before that, he had been defeated by his compatriot Jussier formiga.

The North American is the first and only champion of the UFC flyweight category in history and is undefeated since dropping to 57 kg. Johnson has already accumulated eight title defenses in the division and is coming off an overwhelming knockout over Henry Cejudo last April.
