Since it was Ronda Rousey was defeated by Holly holm and lost the women's bantamweight belt, her return to the octagon has been treated as a big unknown. Rumors suggest that Ronda's return would take place next November, at Ultimate's debut in New York City, but president Dana White doesn't seem so sure that the former champion will fight until the end of the year.

“Ronda will tell us when she is ready to fight again. I would really like her to fight this year. I hope she does, it's up to her. But, if you look at the last three years, you will see that Ronda was one of the athletes who worked the hardest. So, she deserves this time”, said Dana, on the TV program “Dan Patrick Show”.
Ronda Rousey was undefeated in MMA until November last year, when she was knocked out by Holly holm and, as a bonus, he lost the Ultimate bantamweight belt. Holm didn't hold the title for long and was surpassed by Miesha Tate in March and the women's bantamweight division now has as its champion one of Ronda's greatest rivals, who has even been defeated by her twice throughout her career.
