About to finally debut in the UFC against Leslie Smith in Curitiba (PR), after a romance between her and the organization that dragged on for years, Chris Cyborg almost missed out on facing the former bantamweight champion Holly holm. The North American, however, refused the full confrontation with the Brazilian, according to a statement from her own manager. For Cyborg, however, Holm's stance was not only not surprising but was even quite predictable.
