Siver is injured and Penn is left without an opponent to return to MMA

Former lightweight and welterweight champion still doesn't know if he will be kept on the UFC 199 card next month

The injury witch is still at large for the UFC. Dennis Siver, who would be the opponent of B.J. Penn upon the former champion's return to MMA, he suffered an injury and was forced to withdraw from the UFC 199 card, an event that takes place on June 4, in Los Angeles (USA).

The details of the German's injury were not disclosed, but, at the moment, Penn finds himself without an opponent for the attraction. The UFC, however, has not yet revealed that the Hawaiian will be kept at the event, or if his fight will be postponed to a future attraction.

Penn was UFC lightweight (70 kg) and welterweight (77 kg) champion, and would have his first fight in almost two years retired. His return to the Octagon would take place in the featherweight category (66 kg), the same one in which he competed last time.

UFC 199 will feature two title fights. Luke Rockhold defends middleweight title against Chris Weidman, while Dominick Cruz tries to stay at the top of the bantamweight category against Urijah faber.
