Antônio “Pezão” with new opponent in Strikeforce

The heavy weight Antonio “Pezão” he already has a new opponent for his fight next Saturday (04) at Strikeforce. Initially the Brazilian would face Valentijn Overeem on the main card of the event, but an elbow injury forced the Dutchman to cancel his participation in the fight.  

“Pezão’s” new opponent will be the North American Mike kyle, a 30-year-old athlete who has a record of 18 wins, seven losses and one draw. Kyle is on a three-fight win streak and has stints in the UFC and WEC. In his last fight, the Ghanaian submitted Abongo Humphrey with a rear naked choke in the second round of the clash valid for ShoMMA 9, held last July in the United States.

In addition to “Pezão”, two other Brazilian athletes will be in action in this edition of Strikeforce. While Fernando Bettega will face the North American Wayne Phillips on the preliminary card, Renato “Babalú” will be in the main fight of the night against the former middleweight and light heavyweight champion of the now extinct PRIDE, Dan Henderson.
