The Delfim training center and Midway Supplements have entered into a partnership to promote six stages of Olympic and professional Boxing next year. The 2008 Delfim/Midway Boxing season will have its first stage on January 12th, the other stages will be held in March, May, July, September and November. “I would like to thank Midway for investing in an Olympic sport so in need of attention. We want to revitalize Olympic and Professional Boxing in Rio and Brazil and to this end we are publishing the 2008 calendar which will have six stages. Our idea is to be promoting national and international title fights in our fight arena very soon and also giving opportunities to boxers from several Brazilian states. Our first stage will be a Rio x São Paulo Olympic and professional boxing challenge. The events will have eight fights, five amateur and three professional”, said Gabriel Ribeiro, owner of the Delfim gym.
Last November 10th the first Boxing event took place at Arena Delfim. Highlight is the victory of Vale-Tudo fighter Geovani Diniz (Nobre Arte), who defeated Sandro Luiz Martins. Check out the full results below:
