UFC Netherlands: Pezão is run over by 'Gigante Holandês' in just 15 seconds

The Brazilian was hit with the first blow of the fight and was surpassed by Stefan Struve, who was 2m15cm tall; Yan Cabral and Francimar Bodão also lose

It didn't go well for the exit. The Brazilian Antonio Pezão entered the octagon to face the giant Stefan struve – biggest fighter in the history of Ultimate at 2m15cm – and all the Dutch fans. But in the first blow of the fight, the Dutchman followed up on the man from Paraíba and achieved the knockout in just 15 seconds of fighting. The fight was an attraction at UFC Fight Night Holanda, an event held this Saturday afternoon in Rotterdam.

The UFC Fight Night Holanda fight program was not good for Brazilian athletes. In addition to Pezão, Yan Cabral was knocked out on the preliminary card by Reza Madadi and Francimar Bodão was submitted by the Ukrainian Nikita Krylov.

The fight

Before the fight, Antonio Pezão He showed anxiety for the start of the dispute, walking back and forth in his corner. As soon as the dispute began, the Brazilian went forward, but Struve took advantage of his size to land an uppercut on the Brazilian athlete's chin.

The Dutchman took advantage of the moment and followed up with a strong knee. Overeem beats Arlovski and gets close to the belt

In the main fight of the night, the Dutch fans celebrated again. The heavy weight alistair overeem defeated the former champion Andrei Arlovski, scored his fourth consecutive victory and was close to a title shot.

Arlovski started the fight with pressure, putting Overeem against the bars. But the Dutchman avoided the initial pressure and began to unleash his game.

Brazilian Francimar Bodão entered the octagon in Rotterdam with high morale, as he had two consecutive victories in Ultimate. But it only took a few seconds for the Ukrainian Nikita Krylov thwart the plans of the Acre fighter.

With a more aligned stand-up game, Krylov landed powerful blows on the Brazilian in the first moments and frustrated Bodão. Francimar still tried to take him down on two occasions, but the leg attacks were not effective.

In the second round, the Ukrainian repeated his performance in the previous round and landed good blows on Francimar. Krylov still took down his rival. Francimar still tried his last breath by attacking with a triangle. But, without pressure, the European fighter got out of the fight and went to end the fight. He moved to the back and secured the rear naked choke at 3:11 of the second round.
