The fight
The fight started off busy with the Brazilian accepting the exchange of blows with Madadi and looking for the best moment to take down his rival. Yan, despite a slight disadvantage in the stand-up fight, managed to take down Reza and work on his specialty: ground fighting.
On the ground, Yan quickly got to his back and was close to securing a choke. But with little time on the clock, the Brazilian didn't have time to stabilize his position before looking for the rear naked choke and Madadi escaped
In the second round, the Iranian began his reaction. He pressed Yan against the bars, landed several blows on Cabral's head and avoided the takedown. Madadi was even the one who took the Brazilian to the ground on two occasions, scoring points.
In the last and decisive round, Reza Madadi made use of his best physical condition and put pressure on from the first second. In turn, Yan, already quite tired, was unable to repeat his good performance from the first round and was an easy target for the Iranian.
Madadi went up and, with Cabral against the bars, landed several punches on the Brazilian's head. Yan was already completely stunned and held on to the bars to keep from falling. Even so, the referee interrupted the dispute and declared a technical knockout in favor of the Iranian.
