Rafael dos Anjos would face Conor McGregor at UFC 196, but ended up getting injured and leaving the contest. However, the fact that he didn't face the Irishman in the octagon didn't lessen the rivalry between them. This Thursday (05), Rafael once again poked fun at McGregor and used a photo of the Irishman training jiu-jitsu as “raw material” for his irony.
“Brown belt, and he doesn’t know how to tie his belt, what a braggart”, wrote the Brazilian, along with a photo in which the Irishman appears showing off his brown belt in the gentle art, achieved under the seal of the leader of the Straight Blast Gym Ireland (SBG) John Kavanagh.
Despite all the feud, Dos Anjos and McGregor seem increasingly distant from facing each other in the Octagon. The Brazilian has a fight scheduled for July 7th, in Las Vegas (USA), against Eddie Alvarez. Conor, after leaving UFC 200, must return to the featherweight division and defend his title against the winner of José Aldo x Frankie Edgar and, if he decides to move up a category again, he will possibly do so in a rematch between Nate diaz.
