UFC 200 should have a rematch between Raphael Assunção and TJ Dillashaw

Brazilian and former North American champion have faced each other before and the final result was highly contested

Considered the biggest card of the year on the Ultimate calendar, UFC 200 is about to see the addition of another Brazilian representative. This is because the organization plans to climb the Pernambuco Raphael Assunção in a rematch against the former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw on the fight night of July 9th.

The information was released by journalist Ariel Helwani, during the official newspaper “UFC Tonight”, this Wednesday (04). According to the report, the fight has already been offered to Dillashaw, who has not yet officially accepted the duel, but “probably will”.

On that occasion, before the North American won the bantamweight title, Raphael prevailed in a controversial split decision. After the setback, TJ followed a winning path and became champion of the under-61 kg division, losing the title last January to Dominick Cruz. Assunção, in turn, has remained undefeated since then, but fought very little due to a series of injuries.

UFC 200 takes place on July 9th, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier They fight for the second time for the light heavyweight title. The card will also feature two other title fights: José Aldo x Frankie Edgar, for the position of interim featherweight champion, and Amanda nunes x Miesha Tate, winning the women's bantamweight title.
