The MMA world took a hit this weekend. North-American Jordan Parsons, a Bellator fighter, had his career brutally interrupted after he was run over in the city of Del Ray, Florida (USA). The driver did not stop to provide assistance and the athlete had part of his leg amputated.

According to the medical report, Parson’s condition is “critical”.
Jordan Parsons, 25 years old, has a professional record of 12 wins and two losses. He had a fight scheduled for May 14, at Bellator 154, in San Jose (USA), against Adam Picolotti.
After the accident, Bellator released an official statement in which they sympathize with the fighter's family.
“Bellator has been made aware of a horrific accident that occurred last night involving featherweight Jordan Parsons, who was struck by a vehicle. We are still in the process of uncovering details and, with his family's consent, we hope to have an update on his medical condition soon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan and his family for his recovery.
