In the main fight Jungle Fight 86, Amazonian Naldo Silva defeated the home athlete, Maike Linhares, in a unanimous decision by the judges and defended the event's lightweight belt.
“I am very happy to have achieved this dream. I faced a very tough athlete, with international experience and I am grateful for the opportunity. I'm going to keep training hard because now keeping the belt is going to be complicated. I know we have very good athletes in this category and I need to train hard to stay at the top”, he celebrated.
Ex-TUF wins and will fight for belt
In another standout fight of the night, Mateus Mattos, a participant in TUF Brasil 4, won well in his debut in the organization. Facing Carlos Soares, known as Carlin, Maateus completely dominated the first round, delivering hard blows to his rival. Mattos returned for the second round ready to end the fight and managed a beautiful rear naked choke, achieving his tenth victory in MMA – he remains undefeated in his career.
After the fight, Wallid announced that the Team Nogueira athlete will compete for the organization's bantamweight belt.
