The experienced North American Jorge Rivera was scheduled to face the Italian Alessio sakara on the main card of UFC 122, which took place yesterday (13) in Germany. But, due to health problems faced by Sakara moments before the start of the fight, the fight had to be cancelled.
Still on the premises of the Kölnig Pilsener Arena, venue for UFC 122, Rivera said he was disappointed with the cancellation of the fight. But, despite the frustration of not having fought in this edition of the UFC, “El Conquistador” revealed that his next commitment is scheduled for the beginning of next year. And, according to the athlete himself, his opponent for this new challenge has already been defined.
“I will fight in February against Michael Bisping at UFC 127”, assured Rivera.
UFC 127 will be held in Sydney, Australia, on February 26, 2011. This will be the second opportunity in which a UFC event will be hosted in the oceanic country, as, last February, the same city hosted the 110th edition of the organization.
