The Russian MMA organization “Fight Nights” already surprised by announcing that it would be the venue for the next fight of Fedor Emelianenko, against the Brazilian Fábio Maldonado, but it seems that the event promoters want to cause an even bigger buzz and count on none other than the UFC star Conor McGregor on your next card.

According to information from the Russian press, “Fight Nights” offered no less than US$2 million (around R$7 million, at the current rate) for McGregor to be part of its event scheduled for June 17th, in São Paulo. Petersburg (Russia). According to reports, the event has the financial support of a billionaire from Dagestan, the same Russian republic from which several MMA names emerged (such as the lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov) – the owner of the fortune, in fact, had already shown interest in buying part of the UFC.

PUBLICITY:

Despite the million-dollar offer and the imminent absence of Conor McGregor from the Octagon for the next few months, due to his recent – and controversial – exclusion from the UFC 200 card, it is practically impossible for the Irishman to perform in “Fight Nights”. The contract between Conor and Ultimate provides for exclusivity between the parties and could only be terminated if there was an agreement between the fighter and the event or a large financial compensation.
