During a UFC press conference last week, Nate diaz left a very clear message regarding his possible participation in UFC 200, in July: either he would face Conor McGregor, or I would give up on my plans and go on vacation. And, given the Irishman's unlikely participation in the event, the North American kept his word and chose the second option.

“I'm happy to announce that I'm going on vacation,” wrote Diaz, in a message posted on his personal Twitter account.

Originally, Diaz and McGregor would make the main fight of UFC 200, repeating the fight held in March this year, won by the North American. However, the Irishman refused to leave Europe during his training and travel to Las Vegas (USA) to participate in last week's press conference, which ended up resulting in him being cut from the attraction.

During the conversation with the press, UFC president Dana White even commented that he was looking for a new opponent for Diaz, but the fighter himself stated at the time that he would only accept participating in UFC 200 if it was in a fight against McGregor.

With the fight momentarily discarded, the UFC has not yet made official what the new main fight of UFC 200 will be. The attraction will feature two title fights: José Aldo x Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight title, and Miesha Tate x Amanda nunes for the women's bantamweight belt.
