Owner of two, devastating, knockouts on the UFC 197 main card, the young Mexican Yair Rodriguez and the flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson They won the event's “Performance of the Night” bonuses, and with that they took home a check for US$50 (R$178, at current exchange rates) each.
Yair dispatched the North American André Fili with a flying front kick, a real shin to the face, in the first round. Just like the Mexican, Johnson didn't need more than one round to win and the triumph came with a good combination of elbows, a knee to the clinch and some punches in the ground and pound.
In addition to Rodriguez and Johnson, the other two prize fighters on the card were Dominique Steele and Danny Roberts, who faced each other on the preliminary card. Steele and Roberts had what was considered the “Fight of the Night” and, as a result, they also took home US$50.
