Two of the athletes “infernized” by Conor McGregor in recent months, José Aldo e Rafael dos Anjos criticized the Irish fighter for leaving UFC 200, an event that will take place on July 9, in Las Vegas (USA).

McGregor, who would face Nate diaz in the main fight of the attraction, he was cut from the show for refusing to travel to the United States to participate in the press conference this Friday (22). Instead, the featherweight champion preferred to remain in Iceland, where he is training with his team this week, and focus on his physical and technical preparation.

Aldo and Dos Anjos, who participated in the press conference held by the UFC, didn't miss the chance to take a dig at their rival. “Well, I was supposed to be in Singapore training this week myself. Tomorrow [Saturday] I leave here and go straight back there. I think McGregor found a way to get away from Diaz”, criticized Dos Anjos, who was scheduled to face McGregor at UFC 196 in March, but left the fight due to injury.

Aldo, defeated by the Irishman in December last year, used social media to provoke McGregor. The Brazilian posted a photo on his Twitter alongside fellow fighters Matheus Nicolau e Claudia Gadelha. “Training here in Vegas last night because some of us can train while we are promoting the fight,” she wrote.

Both Dos Anjos and Aldo have fights scheduled for July. The lightweight champion defends his title against Eddie Alvarez on the 7th, while Aldo faces Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight belt at UFC 200 itself.
