With the output of Conor McGregor of the main fight of UFC 200, many fighters volunteered to make up the most prominent fight on the July 9th event schedule. One of them is Jon Jones, former light heavyweight champion, who would like to have a long-awaited rematch with Daniel Cormier at the historic event.

Jones will face Ovince St Preux at UFC 197, this Saturday (23), for the interim belt in the category. If he wins without any major scares, “Bones” would agree to face Cormier for the definitive belt in the category a few months later.

"Absolutely. I would totally accept joining UFC 200 and being in the main fight. I would love to be the only guy to fight in both UFC 100 and UFC 200”, said the fighter, forgetting that Jim Miller, who performed on the historic 2009 card, is also confirmed in the July 9th attraction.

Originally, Jones was going to face Cormier at UFC 197. However, the lineal champion was injured and was cut from the event. The two faced each other in January 2015, with Jones winning by judge's decision.
