On social media, Edgar posted an image of himself alongside the sheikh and wished his friend good luck in his first fight. “Good luck to Khaled Hamad, our leader at KHK MMA, in his first time in cage. I know you've been putting a lot of effort into your preparation for this fight. I can’t wait to see you in action!” Frankie wrote.

Edgar's help seems to have had an effect and Khalid Hamad began his career in professional MMA with a technical knockout over Aditya PS after a left cross. The event, held in India, was closed to the public.

Big fan of MMA and martial arts Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa is the owner of the KHK MMA gym, which is based in Bahrain and Las Vegas (USA). Over the last few months, the sheikh has brought names like Frankie Edgar, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Renzo Gracie.
