Knocked out at the Total Extreme Fighting event, last Saturday (9), MMA fighter João Carvalho succumbed to his injuries and died after around 48 hours in a hospital in the city of Dublin, Ireland, location of the attraction.

Carvalho, who was 28 years old and was fighting his third professional fight, lost by technical knockout to Charlie Ward, the UFC champion's partner, Conor McGregor, on the Straight Blast Gym team.
The official announcement was made by Carvalho's team, the Nóbrega Team academy. “The Nóbrega Team confirms the death of its athlete João Carvalho, which occurred last night [11] at Beaumont Hospital, in Dublin, at 21:35 pm. The Portuguese fighter's team clarified some facts and exempted the event from blame. “All safety rules were complied with, and after a fight where the referee followed all correct and usual procedures, the athlete João 'Rafeiro' Carvalho felt unwell, around 20 minutes after the end of the fight.
While still at the scene, he was immediately assisted by the medical team present, and was then quickly transported to Beaumont Hospital, where he underwent brain surgery, after which the athlete remained in critical condition for the next 48 hours, eventually passing away this Monday. fair at 21:35 pm”, he continued.
