The film “Stronger than the World”, the biopic of José Aldo, had its new release date set. It will be on June 16th, three weeks before the Brazilian fighter returns to the UFC octagon, which will happen on July 9th.
The original launch was scheduled for January 14th of this year, but plans were changed with Aldo's devastating defeat to Conor McGregor, in December last year. At the time, the Brazilian lost his belt after being knocked out just 13 seconds into the fight.
Thus, Paris Filmes distributors changed plans and conditioned the release to Aldo's next fight in the UFC, against Frankie Edgar, at UFC 200.
Actor José Loreto played Aldo in the film, which also featured appearances by Cléo Pires (as the fighter's wife), Milhem Cortaz (as Aldo's trainer, Dedé Pederneiras) and Rafinha Bastos (Marcos Loro, gym colleague).
