We start with the controversies surrounding the main fight of UFC 197, an event that takes place on April 23 in Las Vegas (USA). Current light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier will not defend his title again in the attraction. Injured, “DC” was cut from the card, being immediately replaced by Ovince St Preux.

Jon Jones, who remains in the fight, also had a very busy week. The former champion was arrested for violating the terms of his probation and, when released, received new punishments.

The week also saw the officialization of the first fights of UFC 200, an event on July 9th. Two rematches are the highlights so far: Conor McGregor x Nate diaz, between welterweights, and José Aldo x Frankie Edgar, valid for the interim featherweight belt.

Finally, the GIRO SUPER FIGHTS brings information about the frantic ticket sales for UFC 198, which takes place on May 14th, in Curitiba (PR).
