Even if the rematch between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier has been cancelled, their rivalry remains hotter than ever. The former light heavyweight champion blasted his disaffection for offering to train Ovince St Preux, who faces the former title holder at UFC 197, on April 23.

Originally, Jones and Cormier would have another duel at the end of the month, in Las Vegas (USA). However, “DC” was removed from the fight due to injury, being promptly replaced by St. Preux. The champion surprised and stated that he would like to help his replacement to defeat Jones.

The former champion was outraged by the proposal and once again spoke out against his rival. “'I'm going to offer all my resources to OSP and hope he does the job for me.' Do you want to train OSP and pay for your expenses? You're a wolf in sheep's clothing and I can see it all. You coward”, said Jones, on his Twitter account.

Later, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”, Jones elaborated on his reasoning. “A loss from me to OSP should be the last thing Cormier should want to see, because it would mean he couldn't avenge his only loss. His invitation to OSP shows that he is grateful for not facing me.”

Cormier and Jones faced each other for the first time in January 2015, with “Bones” winning by decision of the judges. After that, the American lost the title due to extra-octagon actions, and Cormier became champion in a duel against Anthony Johnson for the vacant belt.
