Many fans would like to see a rematch between Anderson Silva e Vitor belfort, but, for now, the plan has not yet come to fruition. The two legendary fighters will be on the UFC 198 card in May, but facing different rivals. Even so, the supposed duel was the subject of the press conference held to promote the Curitiba event, and both athletes were not very excited about the idea.

After being asked about the subject, Anderson stopped talking and used good humor to respond. “It’s a lot for my heart. My 41-year-old heart can't take it anymore. Leave me alone. A lot of people want to see me fight for the belt, fight with Vitor. He already smelled my foot, so let it go”, said the former middleweight champion, laughing.

Belfort, in turn, stated that he does not currently plan to discount the defeat on his record. “I'm very focused on my goal of winning the belt. I'm very well-rounded and that's a sport. Today we are reaping the fruits of that fight. It was a brilliant night for him, the smell of foot odor is gone. It was a fantastic shot, but now I have [Ronaldo] Jacaré in front of me,” he explained.

Director of the UFC in Brazil, Giovani Decker stated that the fight could be included in the organization's plans if fans show a desire to see it. “The UFC’s philosophy is to do what the fan wants. So, I leave the question to whoever is watching to see if they want to see the fight,” he replied.

Belfort and Anderson faced each other in February 2011, in a fight that marked the great “boom” of MMA in Brazil. On that occasion, “Spider” defended his belt by winning with a cinematic knockout, with a front kick that knocked Belfort down.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
