the paulista Mario Miranda yesterday (7) renewed his contract with the UFC for four more fights. Miranda has one victory in three fights held at the event, where he debuted in March this year against the North American Gerald harris at UFC Fight Night 21. On that occasion, the Brazilian was defeated by technical knockout in the first round of the middleweight fight.
Miranda's only victory in the UFC was achieved over the Canadian David Loiseau by technical knockout at UFC 115, held in June this year. In his last fight, the athlete was defeated by his compatriot Demian Maia by unanimous decision of the judges at UFC 118, last August.
Miranda's fourth fight in the UFC should take place in the first quarter of 2011. The athlete, who was undefeated in 11 fights until being hired by the UFC, plans to return to Brazil soon until the date and opponent of his next fight are defined.
