The UFC intends to put together another big fight for the first event in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Donald Cerrone will face local athlete Patrick Coté in the attraction, which will take place on June 18th.

The information was given by the North American website “MMA Fighting”. Cerrone will be fighting in his second fight since moving up to the welterweight division. The “Cowboy”, who lost to Rafael dos Anjos in the fight for the lightweight belt in December 2015, he made his debut at 77 kg in February, submitting the Brazilian Alex Cowboy.
Coté is also not a fighter originally from welterweight. Before, the Canadian competed in the middleweight division, and even fought for the belt against Anderson Silva in 2008, losing via technical knockout after suffering an injury. In his most recent fight, “The Predator” beat Ben Saunders by technical knockout in January.
The UFC's main fight in Ottawa will also take place in the welterweight division. The local athlete Rory McDonald faces Stephen Thompson in combat lasting five rounds.
