2010 is not over yet, but the UFC is already starting to think about 2011. Next year's first event will be UFC-125 and the card promises to rock the city of Las Vegas. The show, which takes place on January 1st, will feature, in addition to the lightweight belt dispute, between Frank Edgar e Gray Maynard, a heavyweight duel. The North Americans Shane carwin e Roy Nelson should have one of the main fights on the card.
Carwin is coming off a submission defeat to Brock Lesnar at UFC-116, in the fight for the heavyweight belt, where he saw his incredible unbeaten streak of 12 consecutive victories fall, all by knockout and in the first round. Nelson, on the other hand, also comes from a loss, for the Brazilian junior gypsy, at UFC-117.
Among the fights announced so far, the only Brazilian on the card will be Thiago Silva, which must measure forces against Brandon vera.
