Cigano, who has defeated both athletes in the past, believes that Werdum has a wide advantage in the ground game. However, he doesn't see the champion being able to apply his jiu-jitsu in the fight, and predicts that Miocic will win the fight with striking.

“Werdum has evolved a lot and impressed the times he fought. He has evolved a lot. His ground game is the best in the heavyweight division, without a doubt. He has what it takes to keep the belt for a long time, but now he will face a tough opponent. Miocic has knockout power. When we fought, I was completely groggy several times. His standing game is more complete and better than Werdum's”, analyzed Cigano, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”. “Werdum has an excellent ground game, but I never see him taking anyone down. If the fight stays on, I see Miocic as the favorite. If he goes to the ground, it will be quick. I don’t see Werdum being able to take him down, so the fight will stay standing, where Miocic has the advantage.”

The fight between Werdum and Miocic will be the main attraction of UFC 198, an event that will be held at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba (PR). The fight night should also feature participation from Vitor belfort, Ronaldo Jacare, Mauritius Shogun e Anderson Silva.
