The main fight of UFC 197 will put not only the title of Daniel Cormier, but also the continuity of the champion's career. At least that's what you believe Rashad evans, former light heavyweight belt holder.

On April 23, Cormier will make his second title defense in the 93 kg category. Your opponent, Jon Jones, is precisely the only man who defeated him in the octagon, in January of last year. For Evans, Cormier may need to hang up his gloves if he fails to beat his tormentor again.

“I think definitely DC can win. He can. He looks different this time mentally speaking. But it's a fight he needs to win. If he doesn't win, he would have to retire. What would he do next? Would he try to face Jon a third time? Once you let a man know he can't be the best, you kind of kill him. So, if DC lost, Jon would have killed him”, analyzed Evans, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.

Cormier, 36 years old, has 17 wins in professional MMA, compared to just one loss. Among its victims, DC counts names like Alexander Gustafson, Anthony Johnson, Dan Henderson, Frank mir, Josh Barnett and Antonio Pezão.
