Two of the fifteen best fighters in the lightweight category, with a limit of up to 70,3 kg, will meet in the octagon in June. These are North Americans Dustin poirier e Bobby Green, who duel at UFC 199.

Currently ranked tenth in the rankings, Poirier has a professional record of 19 wins and four losses. After a frustrated stint at featherweight, “The Diamond”, as he is known, returned to lightweight and put together three consecutive victories, the most recent of which was against the Irishman Joseph Duffy.

Yes, Bobby Green, who appears two positions below his rival in the official rankings, has a record of 23 wins and six losses in MMA. Green is coming off a long hiatus from the Octagon due to a series of injuries. His last performance was in November 2014, when he was defeated by the Brazilian Edson Barboza.

UFC 199 takes place on June 4th at The Forum gym in Inglewood, in the greater Los Angeles region. In the main fight of the night, the new middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will put his title on the line in a rematch against the former title holder Chris Weidman. In the co-main fight, Dominick Cruz closes the trilogy against Urijah faber in a fight valid for the bantamweight title.
