Jose aldo defends belt against Manny Gamburyan
Everything ready in Broomfield, in the United States, for WEC-51. The event, which takes place tonight in the state of Colorado, will bring two Brazilians into action. On the preliminary card, the athlete from Nova União, Diego nunes will measure forces against the North American Tyler Toner. In the main fight of the show, José Aldo will put the featherweight belt (up to 66 kilos) on the line against the Armenian Manny gamburyan.
“I'm very excited to fight Manny Gamburyan, who is definitely a good fighter. I know he judo very well and has incredible punching power, but I hope to knock him out. He’s not going to take my belt,” said Aldo.
Gamburyan, on the other hand, recognizes the technical quality of the Brazilian fighter and says he will destroy the current champion.
“There is no secret to my strategy. I have to be in top shape both on my feet, on the ground and in wrestling. Everything has to be perfect. Aldo is a great fighter and I respect him as the champion he is, but I fight to destroy. My time is now and I have to shine”, said the Armenian.
