UFC 196 hits 1,5 million PPV and is the second best-selling event in history

President Dana White revealed the information during an interview; event sold just 100 thousand units less than UFC 100

In addition to the results inside the octagon, which drew attention due to the defeats of Conor McGregor e Holly holm, UFC 196 was also a success outside the ring. In an interview, the president of Ultimate Dana White revealed that the event sold 1 million and 500 thousand packs of pay-per-view in the United States, a number that places it in second place as the organization's best-selling event in history.

The best-selling event in Ultimate's history remains UFC 100, which was headlined by Brock Lesnar x Frank mir 2, Georges St Pierre x Thiago Pitbull e Dan Henderson x Michael Bisping in 2009, and sold 1,6 million PPVs. UFC 196's revenue, however, appears at the top of the list, with an average gross profit of US$90 million.
