For those who are looking forward to seeing Anderson Silva Fighting at UFC 198, in Curitiba (PR), there is a light at the end of the tunnel. UFC director in Brazil, Giovani Decker, admitted that there is still the possibility of “Spider” being part of the Brazilian event, which takes place on May 14th at Arena da Baixada.

Decker repeated the speech regarding the difficulty in finding an opponent for Anderson at the event, but stated that the former champion's participation has not been ruled out by the organization. “It's more about the opponent, finding a suitable guy who can make Anderson go forward and not have a risky fight, a fight that poses a risk for him. Another former champion who could fight at the event is the Curitiba native Mauritius Shogun. The athlete would face Rashad evans in April, but was cut from the fight due to injury. “Shogun, from the beginning, when we put the hammer down on Curitiba and even when we were talking about Curitiba, Shogun was obviously in the plans. The UFC is expected to announce four more fights for the event in the coming days. The main attraction of the night will be Fabricio Werdum x Stipe Miocic, for the heavyweight belt. In the second most important fight of the event, a 100% Brazilian duel: Vitor belfort face Ronaldo Jacare.
