UFC-83, scheduled for March 8, should be held at the Manchester Evening News Arena, in the city of Manchester, England, according to the most recent printed edition of the Wrestling Observer newspaper.
There was a possibility of the event being held in London, but according to what the newspaper claims, the English capital was ruled out by the UFC.

The 70th edition of Ultimate had already been held in Manchester, in April 2007, when Gabriel Napao surprisingly knocked out Mirko Crocop with an impressive high kick. At that event, around 14.921 fans were present in the arena.
